First look: Chloe and Oliver 10.21-22 Finale

The "Smallville" finale is shrouded in mystery -- the official episode description contains as little information as possible, and surprise guest stars have been kept under wraps. We do know one thing for sure: Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) will make it to the wedding of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. And, since she's maid of honor, we can see that Lois's taste in bridesmaid dresses is not at all terrible!

Frankly, Chloe looks adorable, and we're so thrilled that Mack decided to return to the series for one final bow so that we can say a proper goodbye to the girl we met 10 years ago. "She ends in a very healthy and levelheaded way," Mack has said. "I think that the writers have respected my character for such a long time, and she goes out with the same affection she came in with."

She'll be joined, of course, by her date Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) who recently became her husband, though their wedding was slightly less traditional than Clark and Lois's may be. 

They sure look happy, but as we know, Oliver has been branded with the Omega. Despite his show of loyalty to Clark in last week's Zod-centric episode, he remains a ticking time bomb.

Smallville's passionate fans aren't the only ones having a hard time saying goodbye to the series, which ends its 10-year run on Friday, May 13. Allison Mack, who plays Chloe Sullivan, Clark Kent's longtime-friend-turned-superhero-computer-whiz, decided she couldn't walk away without one final appearance. A series regular for the show's first nine years, Mack signed on for just five episodes this season and had wrapped up that commitment in February. Now in New York City, where she recently finished a run in the Off Broadway play Apple Cove, Mack talked to TV Guide Magazine about her decision to go back one last time, her fervent fans and the next chapter in her life.

TV Guide Magazine: Which of these final episodes are you appearing in?
Mack: I'm in the finale, which is a two-parter, so technically I'm in the last two.

TV Guide Magazine: What was it like filming your final scenes?
Mack: It was really amazing, it was emotional and loving and sweet and nostalgic. It's ending in a way that I think is very honorable given that we've been around for 10 years. So it was really sweet.

Allison mack misses Smallville

Smallville star Allison Mack has admitted that it feels "strange" not to be part of the final season's regular cast.
It was previously announced that the actress would reprise her role as Chloe O'Sullivan in just five episodes.
"It's an interesting transition," she told The Futon Critic. "It feels very strange to not have this [show] be a part of my life every day. I feel very honoured that people seem to be missing me and I feel excited and thrilled about the next chapter of my life."       Read more here

Allison Mack has decided to move on according to Michael Ausiello. The actress won’t be a series regular next season which is the 10 and final. Ausiello reports that even when she won’t held the regular status Mack is slated to return for several episodes.
“It’s amazing to think that Chloe Sullivan and I have been one in the same for over a third of my life,” says Mack in an exclusive statement. “I’m truly humbled by the love and loyalty of all the fans whose enthusiasm has carried me — along with a cast and crew which has become my second family — over the past 9 and a half years. Out of respect for the amazingly loyal fans and the place I will always have in my own heart for Chloe, I’m coming back for several episodes next season to tie up Chloe’s Smallville legacy properly..”

Smallville - Chloe To Return in Season 10?

Smallvile fans worried about Allison Mack’s uncertain future on the show can collectively breathe a sigh of relief simma down now. And here’s why…
Executive producer Brian Peterson tells me he’s “very optimistic” the actress — who’s in the thick of contract talks as we speak — will be bringing Chloe back next fall for the show’s 10th season.
Asked whether it’s essentially a done deal (which is what I’m hearing), Peterson says, “We’ve learned the hard way not to say [it's official] until everything is signed and dotted. So the best we can say is we’re really optimistic. And so is Allison.”
