What can you tell us about "Dominion," tonight's episode? Justin Hartley: I can tell you that I directed it. The story is in the beginning we find out that something happened in the Phantom Zone. Clark (Tom Welling) is the only one who can go into the Phantom Zone and fix the problem, but once he comes back out of the Phantom Zone, of course, everything goes to hell. Oliver cons his way into the Phantom Zone when Clark says, 'Don't go, it's dangerous.' Now the two of them up being stuck in the Phantom Zone, and they have to work together to figure out a way out. We find out a lot about trust and where their trust lies with each other and within themselves. [There's] a really touching scene at the end between Lois and Clark. Zod (Callum Blue) comes back. So, tons going on. A lot for a first-time director. I got lucky. I got a really great script. I got great people to work with, I got great stories for our leads. And I got a lot of help from everyone so hopefully everyone likes it.

It's no secret that Chloe and Oliver's marriage on Smallville is an anomaly.

Firstly, Chloe (Allison Mack) didn't actually exist in the previous Superman mythology before being created specifically for the once WB, now CW series. Secondly, Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) married Dinah Lance aka the Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) in the comic mythos. While the fans do love Chlollie, the question remains: Will their marriage survive the series finale of Smallville?

Hartley, who directs this Friday's new episode, dishes on what's in store for the Chloe-Oliver-Dinah debacle, as well as Zod's return and the ominous Omega symbol on the Green Arrow's skull. 

Oliver has been marked with the Omega symbol of darkness. What will we see for him as the series comes to a close?

Hartley: At the end of "Dominion," Oliver is faced with a cold reality that he's not going to be able to get rid of this infection just by willing it away. He has to figure out a whole other path, something he's never done before. He goes on this journey to try to get rid of this thing.

Oliver and Chloe are going to be the best man and woman at Lois and Clark's wedding. What's in store for them?

Hartley: A lot of hell breaks loose, actually. Oliver has the Omega and turns into a totally different, disgusting person. Chloe has to figure out a way to stand by him. She does. In the end, it's interesting because Oliver has to go do his thing, and Chloe has to go do her thing, so there's a really sweet, tender moment in the finale that I think you'll like. The way it's all wrapped up is actually really beautiful. It leaves you with a warm heart.

Radio Interview with Tom Welling

"Smallville" star Tom Welling and his wife Jamie called into their friend Robert Dover's radio show on Tuesday afternoon to discuss life post-Clark Kent. Both Tom and Jamie were overwhelmed by the number of fans calling in to wish Tom a happy birthday - it was his 34th - some from places as far-reaching as Jordan and Australia.
"I don't think we realized it when we were in it," Jamie says, noting that fans from across the world send her Facebook messages in droves. "Now that we're settled and we can look back at those years, it's just incredible."
The fact that the show airs in so many countries has always impressed Tom. "I always wonder what my voice sounds like in other countries," he says.
"You've got a really sexy German accent Tom, don't worry," Jamie teases.

IGN TV: What's it like knowing that the show is, pretty much, in the past for you and you're completely done filming it? Cassidy Freeman: It feels very satisfying. I enjoyed the experience so much and I also think that it was time for the show to end, so I accept that and you move on. It's one of those beautiful things, you know? It's almost like a funeral where you're not really that sad. You're just so happy that you're celebrating what you had… That's a sad way to think about. [Laughs] "It's a funeral!" But you're celebrating the ten year life of something.
